How can I tell the difference between Winter Moth and Gypsy Moth caterpillars?
Though both pests are common in Massachusetts, your trees are more likely to have a larger infestation of Winter Moth caterpillars. Winter Moth caterpillars are smooth and green, where as Gypsy Moth caterpillars are brown with long hairs. Both caterpillars can cause extensive damage to your trees and should be treated immediately. Learn more about our treatment options here.
Will I have to mow my lawn more if I am on the Never Treat Your Lawn Again program?
No! Never Treat Your Lawn Again does not contain high nitrogen products that make your lawn grow fast and high. Instead we concentrate on fixing the soil so that your trees, shrubs and lawn will thrive. We amend the soil with biochar and other naturally occurring, beneficial, long lasting compounds such as calcium chelate, neem cake, kelp meal, leonardite, compost, and limestone.
Are your products certified Organic?
The health of our environment is of our utmost concern, therefor all of our products are OMRI-listed (Organic Materials Research Institute) and NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association) allowed. Many of our products are made in-house from organic materials. We take care to spray our products before blooms as to not disturb the bees and other pollinators. None of our products are harmful to humans, pets or wildlife, so you can feel good about protecting your trees without the use of harsh chemicals.

I heard Spinosad kills bees, is that true?
It's all about timing. Though Spinosad has zero mammalian toxicity, if it is sprayed while the tree's flowers are in full bloom it can decrease the bee population. This is why we carefully time our applications and spray only while flowers are in their budding stage. This is effective for minimizing the population of unwanted pests before bees start their pollination process.
