Organic is Safer and Better for Trees

Organic Solutions are Healthier for the Growth of Trees

We have all heard of the term “organic” by now, but what does that actually mean? Of course, it sounds healthier or more natural, but not many people know exactly how it’s defined. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a product is defined as organic “if it’s certified to have grown on soil that had no prohibited substances applied for three years prior to harvest. Prohibited substances include most synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.”

So, organic means the product was grown in natural soil without pesticides. Therefore, organic products are considered to be much safer to use and consume, not only for people but for animals and plants as well. Here at Boston Tree Preservation, we are organic first and a tree company always. In today’s article, we want to discuss the benefits of organic tree care and why organic products are better for your trees and the environment around them. Let’s get started!

Benefits of Organic Solutions and Products

Organic solutions are created with the entire environment in mind. As experts in lawn care, we are constantly taking care of trees instead of cutting them, and when we are planting trees we are doing it in organic soil. By taking an organic approach to tree care, we are increasing the longevity of your trees while reducing the likelihood of them getting diseases or dying early. However, organic solutions and products benefit more than just the consumer, who in this case would be the trees, but also the entire environment.

Protecting Water Supplies

When you use pesticides or other harsh chemicals or fertilizers, you are essentially infecting the soil. This can lead to polluted water supplies, which can affect the people, plants, and animals that depend on that source of water for survival.

Protecting the Soil

Additionally, if the soil is infected with these harmful chemicals, that can have a negative impact on all plants growing in that particular soil. This impact can lead to those plants becoming sick and dying, especially if this impact lasts for years.

Protecting Loved Ones

Plus, organic lawn care products are safer for your family. If people or animals spend too much time in contact with lawns fertilized with harsh chemicals, this can lead to increased risk for many types of cancer. This is especially important for people with pets and children, as well as people who frequently host outdoor events with guests.
